Proper Basketball Shooting Skills Technique
Stance and Balance
When shooting the basketball, your feet should be in a comfortable position and approximately shoulder-width apart. The foot positioning is similar to the way you would hold a volleyball so that your legs are extended with weight supported by both feet. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes facing towards the basket. Your shooting foot should be slightly ahead of the non-shooting foot in a comfortable position.
